Summary of Position:
Responsible for monitoring inventory, material accounting, stocking, receiving, storing, issuing of materials, and general building maintenance by performing the following duties.

Job Responsibilities:
Within the limits of established policies, procedures, and budgets, assumes responsibility and has commensurate authority as delegated by the Operations Supervisor for the following functions:
· The Storekeeper gathers materials for jobs, loads, and unloads trucks, sorts material and maintains inventory documentation. Using moving equipment such as a forklift, the storekeeper ensures that materials are moved and stored in proper locations. The Storekeeper maintains the cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of the warehouse(s).
· Maintains a record-keeping system for proper accounting of materials received. Compares packing lists on incoming materials to order, initials list and forwards paperwork.
· Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on packing lists.
· Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.
· Stores articles in systematic method, according to inventory number.
· Fills orders for material from stock.
· Cooperates with other personnel in transferring material and supplies during routine working hours or during times of emergency according to proper procedures. Moves or transports material or supplies to other departments.
· Monitor the flags (half-mast).
· Shovel and salt sidewalks or other areas during the day as needed.
· Collaborates with Material Coordinator for accounting accuracy of physical material. Completes periodic checks of program quantities verses physical quantities.
· Collaborates with Material Coordinator for planning and coordination of annual physical inventory.
· Responsible for recommending and/or requesting delivery of material on an as needed basis to the Material Coordinator.
· Adjusts or repairs items carried in inventory.
· Determines methods of storage, identification, and stock location, considering temperature, humidity, height, and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space.
· Responsible for general building maintenance commensurate with training and experience.
· Cleans warehouse and keeps free from hazards.
· Maintains pole yard and transformer yard clean and free of debris – does general housekeeping of outside grounds of facility.
· Attends safety meetings as needed or directed. Follows Cooperative, OSHA and state and other regulatory rules and procedures. Reports to Supervisor hazardous conditions or needed maintenance.
· Subject to random drug and alcohol testing consistent with DOT regulation and Paulding-Putnam policies.
· Other duties may be assigned. If other duties are assigned, employee shall have knowledge of area or be given training for other duty.

Specifications:
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Skills and Abilities:
· Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
· Ability to operate a forklift to load, unload or move material in warehouse and storage lot.
· Ability, experience, and knowledge of basic building maintenance such as minor carpentry, plumbing and HVAC systems.
· Ability to use and comprehend computer entries for inventory program and ability to adapt to changes in computerized inventory programs
· PC-based computer skills with knowledge of database and spreadsheet programs is required or is to be obtained within six (6) months from date of acceptance.
· Be familiar with current PCB regulations regarding testing, packaging, storing, and shipping PCB’s or PCB contaminated materials.
· Must have basic mathematical knowledge.
· Must be able to plan and prioritize work.
· Must be able to adapt to a work environment that requires the knowledge to learn and implement new technology.
· Overtime may be required to complete the duties as directed.
Additional Expectations:
· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
· Ability to write simple correspondence.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
· Must be physically able to function in the position.
· The employee must lift and/or move on a daily basis 50-75 pounds. May occasionally need to lift and/or move 75-100 pounds.
· Valid class ‘A’ CDL driver’s license (recommended but not required)
· Valid First Aid/CPR card
· Valid forklift trainer and operator certification (recommended but not required)
· Must have good hearing and visual abilities.
· Individual should be able to handle occasional high-pressure situations.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license.
· Must work well individually and with others from various backgrounds, philosophies, and experiences.
· Attend meetings as requested or assigned, including overnight travel.
